I'm a photographer based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. I specialise in monochrome photography but also dabble in a wide range of other photographic techniques, including polaroid transfer, pinhole photography, through-the-viewfinder photography and alternative processes. The image is a self portrait taken with a Zero 2000 pinhole camera. The wide angle of view introduces severe distortion, which thankfully makes me appear much better proportioned than I am in real life.
Although I've done a good deal of work in a traditional chemical darkroom, these days I prefer to produce monochrome prints digitally using pigment
inks. This suits my lifestyle (grabbing time when I get the chance) and gives results that approach the quality of chemical prints. Oh, and its nice not to smell of fixer all the time.
