New work

This page shows a selection of images that have recently been added to the site. Further themed galleries of images can be accessed via the archive.

Over the past couple of years I have been photographing the Abbeydale Picture House, a 1920's cinema in Sheffield, UK. The images from the Abbeydale project were shot in (muted) colour, using high dynamic range techniques. This was something of a departure for me, and I'm currently going back to my roots and focusing on producing relatively unmanipulated monochrome prints. Recent subjects include still life and landscape in the Peak District, and the cemeteries of Paris. I'm also very fond of coastal landscapes, and have produced quite a few prints recently in which very long exposures have been used at coastal locations.

I had a trip to India this year and I'm currently working on a few of those images, again as monochrome prints. Some of them have recently been added to the India gallery.

I hope that you enjoy browsing the site.
